IS Donald Burney Teaching A GOOD NEWS OTHER THAN WHAT YOU ACCEPTED 2 Corinthians 11:3-4

3 But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent seduced Eve by its cunning, YOUR minds might be corrupted away from the sincerity and the chastity that are due the Christ. 4 For, as it is, if someone comes and preaches a Jesus other than the one we preached, or YOU receive a spirit other than what YOU received, or good news other than what YOU accepted, YOU easily put up [with him].

Today we find Donald Burney and others teaching new false teachings. There were also many false teachings that circulated around the Christian Congregation in the first century. Some of the more notable ones were; Jesus being a God /Man (otherwise known as "not having come in the flesh"), the resurrection having already occurred, circumcision for gentile Christians (adherence to the Mosaic law for Christians)
Although these were merely teachings and of course each having their scriptural basis, How did Paul view these deviations from what the congregations were taught?
Why did he have such a strong view? How would Paul have viewed the teachings of Donald Burney?
When if ever would an "other teaching" (like Donald Burney's) be tolerated in the congregation?
Who would have the AUTHORITY to teach something other than had been delivered by Holy Spirit to the Congregations?
But first what were these "healthful teachings" and where did they come from?
The complete body of truth delivered to us from Jesus, his disciples, the prophets, and the Hebrew Bible writers, by means of Jehovah’s holy spirit, constitute the Christian Faith.
John 7:16-17 says: 16 Jesus, in turn, answered them and said: "What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me. 17 If anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching whether it is from God or I speak of my own originality.
The body of truths already delivered to the congregation, as taught scripturally by Jesus and his disciples, before the FAITH was APOSTASIZED, constituted this body of teaching.
Who would have the AUTHORITY to teach something other than had been delivered by Holy Spirit to the Congregations?
Nobody, not Donald Burney or anyone else…Galatians 1:8 says.. 8 However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to YOU as good news something beyond what we declared to YOU as good news, let him be accursed.
This also answers when if ever "other teachings would be allowed. Consider these scriptures.
Jeremiah 31:31-34’s fulfillment was when the Holy Spirit was poured out in 33 Ce,
Thus establishing Spiritual Israel and the Christian Congregation that survives down to this day.
How did Paul view these deviations from what the congregations were taught?
Romans 16:17-18
….17 Now I exhort YOU, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that YOU have learned, and avoid them. 18 For men of that sort are slaves, not of our Lord Christ, but of their own bellies; and by smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones.
Notice here how he views those who are merely teaching a contrary doctrine than he was.
Titus 1:10-11…10 For there are many unruly men, profitless talkers, and deceivers of the mind, especially those men who adhere to the circumcision. 11 It is necessary to shut the mouths of these, as these very men keep on subverting entire households by teaching things they ought not for the sake of dishonest gain.
So we see that Apostle Paul would have shut Donald Burney's mouth (and believe me, Paul could do it!).
1 Timothy 1: 1-4, 6-7 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus under command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus, our hope, 2 to Timothy, a genuine child in the faith: May there be undeserved kindness, mercy, peace from God [the] Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 Just as I encouraged you to stay in Eph´e·sus when I was about to go my way into Mac·e·do´ni·a, so I do now, that you might command certain ones not to teach different doctrine, 4 nor to pay attention to false stories and to genealogies, which end up in nothing, but which furnish questions for research rather than a dispensing of anything by God in connection with faith…6 By deviating from these things certain ones have been turned aside into idle talk, 7 wanting to be teachers of law, but not perceiving either the things they are saying or the things about which they are making strong assertions.
So scripturally it is clear that Donald Burney doesn't even know what he is talking about.
1Timothy 6:3-5…3 If any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, 4 he is puffed up [with pride], not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, 5 violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth, thinking that godly devotion is a means of gain.
Yes, Donald Burney is a man corrupted in mind and despoiled of truth. Get away from such a man. Good Advice!
